Morning, friends!
Eeeeppp! I'm so excited for today! Our entire day of classes have been cancelled at school :) Now before you get too excited (or wanna hurt me cause I got them off), know that unfortunately we do have to attend school. However, during the morning hours, we are watching a debate between two lawyers about whether or not the death penalty should be allowed anymore, followed by a student council-provided lunch, and ending the day off with the greatly-awaited school talent show. I'm going to be honest with y'all, the kids at my school are seriously talented, so this ought to be exciting!
Dinner
Last night for dinner, it was pretty much a "clean out the refrigerator" kind of meal with everyone pretty much doing their own thing. I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted, so I ended up making a "mini" plate. My meal consisted of:
- 1 cup of left over tomato and roasted red pepper soup
- 1 container of Light 'n Fit blueberry Greek yogurt
- 1 serving of Cascadian Farm Cinnamon Crunch Cereal
- 1 sliced banana
- 1 serving of PB2
This dinner rocked. I love making mini plates because of all the different tastes experienced from each small part.
I gotta give some credits to a few of the meal components. This stuff is serious the best.
Dannon's Light&Fit Greek Yogurt has been a buy a few times in our house, but not nearly as much as it should be. I really enjoyed this yogurt, because its blueberry (an obvious YUM), is only 80 calories for one generous serving, and it packs in 12g of protein per container. Not too shabby!
Another superstar in this meal was the Cascadian Farm Organic Cinnamon Crunch cereal. I was a fan because I LOVE Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Yeah, the super-sugary, practically a dessert cereal. My mom found this alternative at Central Market, and yesterday evening I decided to try it out. Big win! While it was coated in as much sugar like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, it still had a similar taste and texture. I really liked how it was only 110 calories for a cup, and has 3 grams of fiber.
So there you have it! I gotta go, talk to y'all soon!
