Walnut Zucchini Bread + Watery Oats

Morning, friends!

Happy Tuesday! One more day away from Hump Day, I suppose. It's been rather chilly here in Texas, lately. I take it it's been a cold season for y'all as well? Whew, nippy!

Rehearsal Numero Dos

Well, since yesterday was Monday, it was Les Mis rehearsal night. My friend wasn't feeling too well, so he stayed home to rest while mother (how proper!) and I went on ahead. 1.5 hours, here we come!

We ended up making it out to the city with about 25 minutes until rehearsal began. Yikes. Not enough time to eat a full meal like we planned. Our tummies were grumbling, though, and we knew we needed some food SOON, so we ended up finding an adorable little coffee shop with some yummy pastries to snack on.

I ordered a slice of Walnut Zucchini Bread. YUMMY. When you're hungry, anything tastes good, but this bread was fantastic. Buttery and sweet = perfect Monday treat!

Rehearsal went extremely well! I was so thrilled at how we sounded. We spent yesterday's 2 hours working on more full-cast songs to make sure we have those perfect before moving forward with smaller groups/solos/blocking/etc.

We spent last night specifically working on At the End of The Day. I was so excited because being Fantine, I'm actually a part of this one. Fun! After we worked through all the harmonies for about 15 minutes, we sang through the song, and it sounded phenomenal. As in, there are a few tiny things that could be cleaned up, but for a second rehearsal, it was AWESOME.

Dinner

We ended rehearsal right at 8pm, so Mom and I chatted with a few new friends (Yay for new friends!) for a couple of minutes before heading out. We had a long drive back!

We decided to stop at I.H.O.P for some eats, and I'm certainly glad we did. My stomach wasn't as grumbly as earlier, but I certainly wasn't gonna say no to food.

I chose to order the Simple 'n Fit Banana and Brown Sugar Oatmeal.

I was looking forward to a bowlful of hot oats with oodles of toppings to sprinkle on top, but I guess what you pay for is what you get. The oats were lukewarm and watery. Oh well. I finished them off anyway.

Like my awkward picture? That's called "Still Nervous to Take Blog Pictures in Public" Syndrome.

P.S! (Can you P.S. on your own blog?) I have some super-exciting opportunities coming up soon that I REALLY hope workout so I can share with you all!

Al and I have plans to hit the gym later on tonight, so let's hope that really does end up happening. You know how teenage girls can get...

Question:
- What do you order when you eat I.H.O.P?
- Okay, seriously. Walnut Zucchini or Banana bread? This is important!

    1. I never get pancakes when I go! You'd think I would but I just don't. I should next time! What do you recommend?

  7. I actually ate at an IHOP for the first time only a few months ago. I saw Nutella Crepes and I was like "What the what?! Must try these!" but the waitress said they were out of them and suggested chocolate chip pancakes. Now, I don't like pancakes so I said, "No, that's not going to work." I said it so quickly it apparently sounded rude (or at least my friend I was with informed me so) so I apologized to the waitress... but I mean really... I wanted Nutella crepes and she suggested chocolate chip pancakes? On what planet is that a fair tradeoff? LOL :)

    1. NUTELLA CREPES???? Ohhhhhh girl. Those are right up my alley. Personally, Chocolate Chip would be good to me (I love chocolate ANYTHING), but when you got a Nutella craving, YOU GOTTA NUTELLA CRAVING! Hopefully they'll have it next time!
