How are we all? For those of you who also had spring break this week, how was it? What'd ya do? On Wednesday, my family drove to San Antonio to relax and be lazy. It was nice. Like, reaaaaally nice ;)
You know, I could give a suuuuper long, detailed post about what we did, but honestly, it just came down to a few different things.
1. Sleep
2. Sit by the pool
3. Workout
4. Eat
5. Shop
And that was about it. So instead of paragraphs, how about we just do some captions 'n such? I feel like that would be more amusing, (plus waaaaaaay more easy for me, shhhh) than a bunch of words. So, here we go!
San Antonio
Travel Snackies for the Road. Grapes 'n Trail mix, whoop whoop!
A bit of lunch. Turkey, beans, and green beans. Did you know turkey has an enzyme that makes you sleepy? I should know, I was knocked out for the rest of the car ride!
Umm....so let's just pretend we didn't buy Fried Pies...haha, I only had one, I swear! (And may I say, it was LIFE-CHANGING)
Maturity at it's best. Little bro and I became QUITE familiar with late night cable!
We stayed at the Westin at La Cantera, and needless to say, waking up to free coffee and this view was fabulous!
There's some yogurt under all that melon, I swear!
Nothing I love more than a hotel gym! I got my sweat on a multiple of times. Even tried out the weights! I think I've been converted. You're right, Miranda!
Post sweat-session. I LOVE endorphins! (Maybe I should get a tank made with that on it. Idea!)
Post sweat-session grub. Veggie Wrap, holla.
So I started out dressed all cute and nice, but....
This happened about an hour later. I "may" have gotten a bit sunburned on my shoulders, so a change in undergarment and top was necessary. Ahh...much better!
*Sometimes* we get along... ;) Love you, Greyson!
Okay, seriously. Brio's. Go there. Go there right now.
I ordered up some Lemon Chicken off the Light Menu. Yes, this happened to be the day I devoured that Fried Pie, so a bit of a "healthier" option was in order. (It TOTALLY didn't taste "Light" though. The flavor was fantastic!)
Dinner of course needed to be followed up by some Teavana :) If you're into sweet/dessert-y teas like me, the Caramel Almond Amaretti is PERFECTION! I totally bought a tin of it to take home with me.
So I finished up The Fault in Our Stars! Needless to say, it was AMAZING. I can't wait to review and link up with Julie! It's not too late to be a part of her Book Club for March! Simply read The Fault in Our Stars by April 5, and be ready to do some serious commenting/discussing on PBF!
My favorite quote from the book. Why is it that this captures me perfectly?
Because Clif Bars make perfectly good breakfasts. With a Cafe Verona of course :)
And there you have it! Our little "get-away" was short, sweet, and relaxing. I refreshed, and ready for the week! I have so many post ideas, and can't wait to share them all with ya'll! Oh, and just a quick tidbit, tomorrow's the day I find out the results of cheer tryouts. This past year as a freshman, I was a JV cheerleader (all freshman are), so I'm hoping to be Varsity for sophmore year. Let's hope!
Sounds like you had an awesome spring break! Mine is still in 2 weeks and it needs to hurry up!

My favorite quotes are "The marks humans leave are too often scars," and "My thoughts are stars that I can't fathom into constellations." Doesn't Augustus seem perfect?? Glad you had a great break, by the way!
ReplyDeleteAugustus is...oh my gosh...AMAZING.
DeleteAH BRIO'S!!! OMG I have plans to go eat there on my birthday in a couple weeks. I have yet to go there, but I've heard amazing things about it and I'm finally going.
ReplyDeleteYou're gonna love it! Trust me, this is the place to indulge on a birthday. Their desserts are fantastic!

ReplyDeleteI read your first post at Carrots and Cake, and love it. Now I love your blog. Lovely dress.
Haha, I've been told I'm mature for my age my whole life. I suppose it finally came in handy, huh? I'm so glad you liked my post, you have no idea how special it makes me feel when someone says something sweet like that to me. Thank you Natalia :)
